"Body contouring" is a general term for a range of cosmetic procedures that can reshape the body by removing or manipulating fat, skin, and muscle to create a more desirable figure.
Body contouring, also called body sculpting, includes liposuction and abdominoplasty (or tummy tuck), two of the most popular cosmetic procedures for women. Also included are brachioplasty or upper arm lift and trunk or body lift. These procedures are intended to remove excess skin and fat from troublesome areas of the body, such as the abdomen, hips, and thighs, producing the sculpted body that diet and exercise has refused to yield.
